Steps to Admission

New students complete the Application for Admission form and submit it to the business office with a non-refundable $25 application fee (payable below). Alternately, an application can be completed online by clicking on the link below.

New students must also sign a release form for the college to obtain high school diploma or GED.

Returning students do not need to complete a new application or pay the application fee, but should update their contact information with the business office. Any missing elements of the initial application process will need to be completed by the returning student.

Reading and Writing Placement Test

All students are required to take a reading and writing placement test in order to determine their skill level in reading and writing, except for non credit courses, or those auditing a course.

Under certain conditions, a student may be granted a test waiver.

Test results older than five years may not be valid, resulting in the need to re-take the placement test.

High School Diploma or GED

A High school or diploma or GED is required for admission.

A signed release form is required by the college to obtain a diploma or GED.
Transfer of College Credits

An official copy of your college transcript must be sent directly to North Portland Bible College by the school(s) attended.

The student is responsible for any transcript fees assessed by the other school(s).
Student Advising

Make an appointment with the student advisor to plan your program, course schedule , and to answer any questions you might have. Appointments can be made by calling the school, or by submitting an email on the Request information page.

Bring your placement test results, as well as any unofficial college transcripts you have.

If possible, have official transcripts sent from any schools you wish to transfer credits from prior to meeting with the student advisor.
Register for Courses

If you have already been given your NPBC email account login information, you may register for classes online following the instructions provided with your login information.

If you do not yet have access to your NPBC email account, contact the registrar to register for courses.
Pay Application Fee

Please note that your application is not complete until the $15 application fee has been paid.

This can be completed through the Student Information System online, or paid in person at the NPBC office.
Additional Forms

Depending on the your course of study at North Portland Bible College, you may need to fill out extra forms in addition to the application. These can be returned to North Portland Bible College. Reference forms should be mailed by the person filling out the reference form.
